Tony Khan’s Big AEW Announcement Seemingly Leaked

Tony Khan announcement leaked

The details of Tony Khan’s latest big announcement appear to have been accidentally leaked online.

Ahead of the February 7th AEW Dynamite, Khan has once again promised a huge announcement to the world. With Khan being relatively quiet in the past few months and some announcements being anticlimactic, fans are hoping that this one lives up to the hype.

Wrestling fans are also very aware that Mercedes Mone and Kazuchika Okada are both free agents, with Mone closing in on a return from injury. With it being widely reported that The CEO’s AEW debut is inevitable, many are under the impression that the announcement will be connected to Mone, Okada or possibly both. As has been seen by a new event listing, a major hint has been dropped regarding the blockbuster debut.

As seen on Ticketmaster, the TD Garden in Boston will host AEW Dynamite on March 13th, shortly after the Revolution pay-per-view. With Mone being from Boston, it appears that Khan is setting up a show similar to that of CM Punk’s debut in Chicago in 2021. It is unknown whether Khan will use the announcement to strongly hint at an appearance from the former Women’s Champion or outright announce that Mone will be in Boston.

Update: Following fans noticing the listing online, the event has since been removed.

In regards to Kazuchika Okada, The Rainmaker recently sent a message to the fans in regards to his in-ring future.

Tony Khan’s Big Announcement Delayed

Despite Khan promising a huge announcement for February 7th, it has been previously reported that the segment was due to air much earlier. Originally scheduled to be announced over Royal Rumble weekend, Tony Khan delayed the news due to the Vince McMahon allegations that hit the headlines.

As was expected, Mercedes Mone played a huge part of the announcement, expected to be at the announced Boston show.
