Tony Khan Teases Kazuchika Okada AEW Appearance After Rampage (Video)

Tony Khan teases Kazuchika Okada AEW apearance

AEW President Tony Khan has teased bringing a little rain through the forbidden door as he teased an AEW appearance for former IWGP Heavyweight Champion, Kazuchika Okada.

Since the start of 2021, a new era of cooperation has consumed the wrestling world with stars from AEW, IMPACT Wrestling, Ring Of Honor, NWA, and New Japan Pro Wrestling all working together at various points.

NJPW stars such as KENTA, Hikuleo, Yuji Nagata, Satoshi Kojima, and Minoru Suzuki are just a few stars that have competed in an All Elite Wrestling ring in 2021.

On the 10th of November edition of AEW Dynamite, another star of NJPW made his second appearance in AEW as Rocky Romero competed against Bryan Danielson. Danielson came out on top in the contest but the real story seemed to take place before the match began.

Backstage Romero told the Best Friends group of Orange Cassidy, Chuck Taylor, Wheeler Yuta, and Kris Statlander – with Trent still missing through injury – that Kazuchika Okada himself wanted the group to join his CHAOS faction.

The Best Friends gleefully accepted meaning a return to CHAOS for Trent and Taylor who were previously members of Okada’s group during their time in NJPW. The move also means that Kris Statlander becomes the first female member of CHAOS in the group’s twelve-year history.

Now the teases have continued following AEW Rampage on Friday night. In that show’s main event Orange Cassidy lost a Lumberjack Match to his perennial rival Matt Hardy. After the match, Hardy’s HFO and some of the more nefarious lumberjacks attacked Cassidy and the Best Friends leaving them laying as the show went off the air.

Stephanie Chase has shared a video of Tony Khan addressing Best Friends in the ring after the show, suggesting that next time they bring another member of CHAOS with them:

“Might I suggest that maybe next time you bring someone else from CHAOS? If there is a next time. Could be a good idea. Maybe not who you think, but it might be who you think. I just think it’s a good idea.”

Kazuchika Okada is currently in the United States where he will compete on NJPW’s Battle In The Valley show in California. The Rainmaker goes one on one with former WWE Superstar Buddy Matthews – the former Buddy Murphy.
