Tony Khan Teases Big Things For AEW Double Or Nothing

Tony Khan looks to make AEW Double or Nothing a night to remember.

Double or Nothing 2019 was the first event under the AEW banner and saw the company make a statement with the arrival of Jon Moxley and the critically acclaimed war between Cody and Dustin Rhodes earlier in the night. Subsequent events have also been newsworthy with the debuts of the Stadium Stampede and Anarchy in the Arena stipulations along with CM Punk winning his first World Championship in the promotion in 2022. Five years on from the inaugural event, Khan is looking to once again leave a lasting impression.

Appearing on The Rocker Morning Show on WRKR 107.7, Khan praised his company and that now is the perfect time to start watching again:

“It’s a great time to be an AEW fan. It’s a great time to jump in. If you haven’t watched AEW and you haven’t watched in a while, there’s a lot of cool stuff happening right now.”

Referencing the upcoming pay-per-view, Khan hyped Double or Nothing as being “a classic show” and promised it would be special:

“Having every Wednesday night on TBS at 8 pm and having every Friday and Saturday on TNT, that’s pretty special. But this 5-year anniversary show is the biggest milestone we’ve ever hit and we’re gonna do it in a very special way. I’ve got a lot of really cool things planned and I promise it’s gonna be a classic show. You’re gonna love it this Sunday.”

Tony Khan Addresses Online Discourse

No stranger to hitting the headlines due to comments made about his own promotion or the competition, Khan’s social media posts have left fans wondering if it was wise to make those comments and to join in with the more toxic side of social media. During the same interview, Tony Khan defended online debates among wrestling fans.

In recent news, Tony Khan stated that AEW’s television focus should be on the wrestlers and not him.
