Tony Khan Shares His Expectations For AEW In 2025: “Millions Of Homes”

Tony Khan Touts Success Of AEW All In 2024

Tony Khan has laid out his expectations for All Elite Wrestling in 2025.

For the past couple of weeks, the Jacksonville-based promotion has been going through a rough patch. However, things were not always like this for Khan’s brainchild. Despite recent poor viewership and ratings for AEW Dynamite, Collision, and Rampage, Khan believes there is a great opportunity ahead.

Speaking on The Battleground Podcast, Khan shared his expectations for the upcoming year and how he looks forward to new opportunities. Addressing the upcoming simulcast feature, Khan claimed that it will be huge for the promotion.

“[I’m looking forward to] the opportunity to keep having great shows like tonight on TBS, with Wednesday Night Dynamite every week and every Saturday on TNT, and then to the simulcast. I think AEW going on MAX streaming is going to be a great opportunity. It’s in millions of homes. It’s in a lot of homes where they don’t have cable anymore.

It’s great to be on TBS and TNT. They are absolutely staples of the cable industry. Like I said earlier, they’re staples of the pro wrestling business. TBS and TNT, those are channels you want to be on cable. But it’s also really important to be streaming. We’re going to be the first company ever, AEW will be the first to simulcast, to put the shows on cable and streaming at the same time. And that’s going to be a huge thing for AEW in 2025 and for many years to come.”

Earlier this year, AEW signed a multi-year deal with Warner Bros. Discovery, which is set to be effective from January 2025.

Tony Khan Addresses Criticism From WWE Hall Of Famer

Over the years, WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff has been heavily critical of AEW. However, recently Tony Khan in an appearance on K&C Masterpiece shared his thoughts on Eric Bischoff’s comments.

I have no idea. I don’t really care what he says. We have done really really well and we have a great thing going with AEW and something to be really proud of. We’re not only, for years to come, be doing shows on TBS and TNT, but we’re going to set the record for the longest run of pro wrestling ever on TNT.

It’s pretty amazing because for a company only five years old, we’ve accomplished so much. We set the world record for wrestling ticket sales and we’re just going into this new media rights deal that is historic and it hasn’t even kicked in yet.”
