Tony Khan is excited about things to come following a tease on AEW Collision.
The July 6th episode of AEW Collision sparked speculation amongst fans with a mysterious vignette. The video in question showed a computer screen with the command C:\> holo.grm before fading to a man jumping through a portal of some sort. A masked man appeared with the words “loading soon.”
The athlete’s face was not shown, and with reports that Ricochet is likely AEW-bound following his exit from WWE, fans are excited to find out who the mystery man might be. Some also speculate that the man could be another Lucha Underground alumnus Aerostar.
“That Was Definitely Not Me In The Mask” – AEW President Tony Khan
Speaking in a new interview with Tim & Eli on Battleground, AEW President Tony Khan spoke about the vignette and his excitement for the wrestler to be made known to the All Elite Wrestling audience. Khan made it clear that this might not be the biggest signing in the world, but he’s excited nonetheless.
“I can confirm that was definitely not me in the mask. It’s somebody I’m excited for. Not necessarily teasing the biggest free agent signing or anything like that, but as a wrestler, we’re really excited about. It’s cool to use vignettes to get people excited about introducing somebody to AEW. It’s going to be something really cool and got people talking. We’ll have more of that. It’s fun.”
In a new update, the identity of the mystery wrestler set to appear in AEW has been confirmed.
