Tony Khan Provides An Update On Hangman Page’s Status

‘Hangman’ Adam Page has not been seen on AEW television since suffering a scary injury on the October 18th edition of Dynamite.

Page battled Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship in the main event of the show, but the match was cut short by the ringside doctor after ‘Hangman’ appeared to get knocked out by a King Kong Lariat from the Champion.

The scary spot occurred late into the match, which had been a hard-hitting affair up to that point and had seen the two rivals battle around ringside before the bell had even rang. Moxley was bloodied for much of the bout and burst out of the corner to hit the lariat on Page, who appeared to land on his head when selling the move.

Fans were unsurprisingly concerned about Page’s wellbeing after seeing the unsettling end to the match play out on live television and AEW were quick to release a statement updating the fans on his condition after he had been checked over at the hospital.

AEW’s statement confirmed that the former AEW World Champion had suffered a concussion, which has sidelined the popular superstar ever since.

Tony Khan Is Looking Forward To ‘Hangman’ Page’s In-Ring Return

AEW President Tony Khan recently answered a number of questions during a Media Call prior to this Saturday’s Full Gear event.

Wrestling Observer’s Twitter page has been covering the Media Call and reported the following in regards to Khan’s update on Adam Page:

“Tony Khan says Hangman Page is doing well and is looking forward to his in-ring return. Doesn’t give any timeline for his return or any other details.”

Although the details are vague and no return date was specified, Khan does seem positive about Page making a return to the ring in the near future.

Fellow AEW star Adam Cole has been sidelined with a concussion for the last five months after suffering the injury at AEW’s Forbidden Door show in June.
