Tony Khan Names Who He Believes Is “AEW’s Greatest Star Ever”

Tony Khan speaking at the AEW All Out media scrum

AEW President Tony Khan has named who he believes is the greatest star to come out of his promotion.

Since the launch of All Elite Wrestling in 2019, the Jacksonville-based promotion has catapulted several names into superstardom including Darby Allin, Britt Baker, MJF and Jack Perry.

Some, like Jade Cargill, Ethan Page and Brian Pillman Jr, have used their newfound momentum built in AEW to secure a spot in other promotions like WWE, TNA and New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

As the promotion barrels towards its sixth anniversary this January, the ultimate question of who is the greatest talent to come out of AEW has undoubtedly cropped up in the minds of some fans. Now the man in charge of the company has given his thoughts on the matter.

Speaking to CHGO Sports, Tony Khan named Jon Moxley as the greatest AEW star of all time, pointing towards his record-setting four reigns as AEW World Champion as well as his memorable debut in the promotion as proof.

Jon Moxley is AEW’s greatest star ever. Jon Moxley’s the four-time world champion. At the beginning of the launch of AEW, we ended our first-ever show with Jon Moxley standing atop the poker chips at Double or Nothing, and it’s been that way since.

He’s a four-time champion, he’s a force in AEW, and I really think that this match [against Orange Cassidy] is gonna be an awesome, awesome world title fight.

Tony Khan: “I’ve Had My Eyes Opened By The Costco Guys”
