Tony Khan once again has a big announcement for AEW fans.
January 1st 2025 is a big day for All Elite Wrestling in more ways than one. Along with New Year’s Day being the 6th anniversary of the promotion being established, it is also the start of the new media rights deal with Warner Bros. Discovery that was confirmed in late 2024.
Beginning 2025 with a Fight For The Fallen special episode of Dynamite to help those in Asheville, North Carolina who were affected by Hurricane Helene, which will also be simulcast on the MAX streaming service, the first episode of Collision will air on January 4th.
Taking place between NJPW Wrestle Kingdom and the first-ever Wrestle Dynasty pay-per-view, Khan has announced on social media that Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting will once again be the opening theme for Collision:

Elton John Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting is back for 2025!
The hit Elton John song was the original theme for Collision when the show launched in June 2023. In July 2024, the theme was changed to “Red Light Is On (Let’s Go)” by Omega Sparx and Mikey Ruckus. Aware of the fan backlash, Rukus stated that he knew the new song would be “universally hated” and that no one could replace Elton John.
The current line-up for the January 4th Collision is as follows:
- Daniel Garcia (c) vs. Mark Briscoe – Singles match for the TNT Championship
- Private Party (c) vs. Lio Rush & Action Andretti – Tag team match for the Tag Team Championships
- Toni Storm vs. Deonna Purrazzo
Tony Khan Responds To The Critics
All Elite Wrestling had a mixed year in 2024. While the match quality was good and shows such as Revolution and All In had impressive attendance figures, weekly TV attendance and ratings have not been as strong. When asked about the criticisms, Tony Khan issued a fiery response.
