Tony Khan has once again secured another rock anthem to be used in promoting AEW, this time from Guns N’ Roses.
For big moments, Khan has been more than willing to pay big to have certain songs playing on AEW TV and pay-per-views. From The Rolling Stones’ Sympathy For The Devil to facilitate MJF’s return to Europe’s The Final Countdown for many of Bryan Danielson’s big matches, Khan has used some of the biggest songs in rock history to make a big moment even bigger.
With Full Gear on the horizon on November 23rd, Khan announced on social media that the legendary Guns N’ Roses song November Rain will be used in videos to promote the upcoming show:
Thanks to @gunsnroses, AEW has secured a license to use November Rain in our videos promoting #AEWFullGear +
this AEW November to Remember!Expect AEW November Rain by this weekend + again next Wednesday before the ppv!
See you on TBS for Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite TOMORROW!
The song has more than 1 billion streams on Spotify and the music video has more than 2.2 billion streams on their official YouTube channel, making it their most popular video on the platform.
With stranger things happening in the wrestling world, here’s hoping that a live version of the solo from Slash could be possible. Just don’t bring Axl!
Tony Khan Heaps Praise On AEW Star
Built as the alternative mainstream promotion, for better or worse more dangerous and graphic spots will be seen on AEW TV that would not be seen in other promotions. In terms of one wrestler taking a significant amount of risks both in and out of the ring, Tony Khan had nothing but positive things to say.
