Tony Khan Hoping To See Leyla Hirsch In AEW Full Time

ony Khan Keen To See Leyla Hirsch In AEW Full Time

‘Legit’ Leyla Hirsch apparently made quite the impression on AEW management during her recent spate of matches for the company.

Initially featuring on Dynamite against the new NWA Women’s Champion Serena Deeb, Hirsch attracted plaudits for her performance in what was ultimately a losing effort.

She also appeared on AEW Dark (on YouTube) in matches against current AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida, and more recently teaming with fellow indie stand out Elayna Black against the team of Brandi Rhodes and Red Velvet.

AEW President Tony Khan recently spoke with Mike Johnson of the PW Insider on a variety of subjects, including Leyla Hirsch and her status with the group.

Khan had the following to say:

I really like Leyla, I think there’s a good chance Leyla could be with us.

I can’t comment until she and I have worked it out but I’d really like for Leyla to come back. I know, she and I talked after the show, and she loves being in AEW and I expect there’s a good chance that she’d stay with us.

I’m sure Leyla will have offers but I think she got a good offer here and there’s a good chance she’s going to be staying with us, based on our last conversation.

The AEW women’s division continues to develop with the recent additions of Serena Deeb, Tay Conti and Ivelisse bolstering their roster.

The likes of Diamante, Red Velvet and KiLynn King have all recently collected wins across Dynamite and Dark, although there has been no official announcement on any their respective signings.
