Tony Khan has suggested a number of absent AEW stars could be returning to action in the very near future.
As has become customary, AEW President Tony Khan took to social media following the most recent episode of Dynamite to thank the fans in attendance, and those watching around the world.
Khan toasted “Wednesday’s number one show on cable/satellite” as well as looking forward to upcoming shows such as Road Rager, Rampage and AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
Interestingly, in the two posts, Khan also hinted that a number of injured stars could soon be returning to action.
In recent weeks Miro has returned to AEW television, while Andrade El Idolo made a comeback of his own on June 8th following his recent marriage to Charlotte Flair.

At present, Adam Cole, Bryan Danielson, Sting, CM Punk and Kenny Omega are all out of action while stars such as Darius Martin and Anthony Bowens are also currently injured. Although in Bowens case, he has remained on television.
While it was recently reported that Adam Cole won’t be wrestling until Forbidden Door, Bryan Danielson is also not expected to miss much time.
The most intriguing name on a list of potential returns is that of Kenny Omega. The former AEW Champion hasn’t wrestled since Full Gear in November 2021 where he lost his World Title to Hangman Adam Page.
Since then The Best Bout Machine has been out of action as he deals with a plethora of injuries including a torn labrum in his shoulder, a hernia, and issues with his knees. The star also revealed that he had been struggling with vertigo since 2018.
However, it was reported as recently as May that there remains no timeframe for his return to the ring.
