Tony Khan Details How AEW Sets Itself Apart From The Competition

Tony Khan Explains What Separates AEW From The Competition

Tony Khan has once again praised AEW and explained what he thinks sets it apart from the field.

Established in 2019, All Elite Wrestling was marketed as the alternative to WWE with more creative freedom given to the wrestlers and an edgier TV-14 product. Although the promotion has struggled in recent years with success in ratings and ticket sales, Khan remains determined that his brand is the home to the best wrestling as they continue to “fight against an establishment.”

Speaking with Rick Ucchino and Tony Pike on Cincy 360, Khan elaborated on his thoughts and why he feels AEW is different from competitors:

“AEW, we have, what I believe is the most exciting matches and we have great stories happening. We really are a challenging brand. We’re fighting against an establishment and we’ve built a huge fanbase in a pretty quick time. People love the fast-paced exiting action, and the interviews. In AEW, people really feel a connection with the wrestlers.”

Khan continued by elaborating on the freedom wrestlers have with their promos and praising the high-calibre performers he has signed to his roster, which has also attracted interest from free agents:

“We don’t script the interviews here. People go out, maybe they have bullet points and key pieces of information they are trying to get out, but it feels like you’re hearing a real person talk, which isn’t always the way it feels in some of the competition interviews. That’s one major difference. Our biggest strength is the quality of our athletes and the charisma of our biggest stars. Some of the biggest names in wrestling are in AEW and there is a reason why big free agents want to come to AEW. This is where the best wrestle.”

Recently Tony Khan addressed the idea of AEW adding new championships to the promotion.

Tony Khan Addresses Common Question

Khan has been a major talking point in the wrestling and NFL worlds in recent weeks after being the victim of an attack by Jack Perry and The Elite. Left unconscious in the ring as the show went off the air, fans are curious as to how Khan will reprimand The EVPs and the Scapegoat. Although some fans have one theory, Tony Khan has denied this would happen.

In a separate interview, Tony Khan hyped up Double or Nothing.
