AEW President Tony Khan has heaped praise on FTR’s Dax Harwood for working with Dr. Britt Baker DMD and Ruby Soho ahead of their match at Double Or Nothing.
At Double Or Nothing, Dr. Britt Baker DMD met Ruby Soho in the final of the inaugural women’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament. The finish of the match saw Baker defeat Soho with a counter to a victory roll that fans of Owen Hart will recognise from his WrestleMania X victory over his brother, Bret Hart.
Speaking at the post-show media scrum, Tony Khan praised Hart family aficionado Dax Harwood for working with Baker and Soho in putting their match together:
“By the way, I thought Dax had worked with Britt and had coached Britt and Ruby and I thought he did a great job.”
Khan also addressed FTR not having a match on the Double Or Nothing show despite it hosting a bumper 12 matches on pay-per-view and FTR being ROH & AAA Tag Team Champions as well as the number one ranked team in AEW:
“They’re a huge part of Ring of Honor and a huge part of AEW, they’ve been a big part of some of the TVs. But there was a lot of stuff on the pay-per-view, they understood I didn’t want to jam them into a situation. They could’ve worked a tag match but again there was already a lot on the show.”
“First of all, Supercard of Honor, who knows what’s happening going forward, big pay-per-views coming, Forbidden Door, All Out, the future of Ring of Honor so there’s a lot of great opportunities and also Dax was great working with Britt and Ruby and then at the end was a really nice moment with them with Punk.”
After Double Or Nothing went off the air, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler came to the ring to celebrate with the new AEW World Champion CM Punk before Punk addressed the Las Vegas crowd.
