Tony Khan is giving someone the chance to own a piece of AEW history.
The April 24th episode of Dynamite ended with the shocking angle that saw Khan attacked by Jack Perry and The Young Bucks. As a result of being hit with the TK Driver in the ring, Tony Khan has made subsequent appearances in a neck brace during the 2024 NFL Draft. On top of being the founder of All Elite Wrestling, Khan is also an executive for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
In a follow-up during the final day of the Draft, Rich Eisen revealed that he received a message from Khan stating that when he had recovered from the attack he would be signing and donating the neck brace as part of the 2024 Run Rich Run event:
“Tony Khan has texted. He heard me [say] ‘Hey, when you’re done with the brace, would you like to sign it and donate the proceeds to St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital?’ He said ‘When I’ve recovered from that spike piledriver when on AEW Dynamite I will absolutely sign this neck brace and sell it and donate it to St. Jude’s to support Run Rich Run.'”
Run Rich Run is a fundraising event that is a part of the long-running relationship between the NFL and St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital. Established by Eisen, donations go towards finding cures for childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
The NFL has extensively covered the attack on Khan in the past few days, interviewing Khan on numerous occasions and discussing the Dynamite attack on their website ahead of the beginning of the 3-day Draft.
