It has been confirmed that Tony Khan will deliver another massive announcement on the upcoming edition of AEW Dynamite.

The April 20th episode of AEW Dynamite is shaping up to be a big one. It has been announced that the show will see the continuation of the Owen Hart Cup, and the second ever Coffin Match in AEW history.

First up it was revealed that Kyle O’Reilly and Jungle Boy will compete in a qualifying match in the men’s bracket of the Owen Hart Foundation tournament. The match comes after Jurassic Express defeated reDRagon to retain their AEW World Tag Team Title’s on April 13th.

On the women’s side, hometown hero Britt Baker will make her triumphant return to Pittsburgh, where she will take on Danielle Kamela, formerly known as Vanessa Borne, in a qualifying match.

The bout will be Baker’s first since losing the AEW Women’s World Championship to Thunder Rosa at St Patrick’s Day Slam in March.

It has also been announced that the show will feature the Dynamite debut of Hook. On April 13th, the second generation star was about to give an interview backstage before being interrupted by Tony Nese. At present there has been no news on what the undefeated Hook will be doing on the show.

The night will also see Darby Allin and Andrade El Idolo compete in a Coffin Match as the former looks to finally bring an end to their long-running feud. To date, there has only been one other Coffin Match in AEW history, which saw Allin defeat Ethan Page back in July.

Finally, it was announced that Tony Khan will be on the show to make a “massive announcement.” The last time that the AEW President spoke on Dynamite, he revealed that he was the new owner of Ring of Honor. At time of writing there is no news on what the announcement may be.
