Tony Khan Urges “Watch This Space” Regarding AEW UK Shows

AEW President Tony Khan has issued the latest update on the company potentially heading across the pond to the UK and says “watch this space.”

Since the formation of All Elite Wrestling in 2019, fans in the United Kingdom have been clamouring for the company to embark on a show in the country. A seemingly proposed show in 2020 fell through due to the pandemic but Tony Khan remains optimistic that the company will compete on UK soil sooner than later.

Speaking to DAZN, Tony Khan reiterated his view that a show at the Khan family-owned Fulham FC’s Craven Cottage is something he wants to do:

“Something big at Craven Cottage is something I’d love to pull off. Both that place and AEW are very important to me so having our first U.K. event there in West London is something that can be worked on. That’s a perfect way to kick off a live event for our U.K. fans so watch this space in regards to that. It’s definitely something I’d love to do.”

Khan was more tight-lipped on the subject of a UK tour rather than just the one show at the West London ground:

“I’m still not sure on a full tour yet. There’s going to come a time when that happens but for now, I just think one big show at Craven Cottage would be something else and leave the fans wanting more.

“There are so many goals for myself and AEW, and coming to the U.K. is certainly something I’m looking at.”

WWE recently returned to the UK for the first time since the pandemic in September 2021 with the company announcing that they will be returning just two months later in November.
