There’s been a lot of buzz lately regarding where the first location for AEW Collision will be.

It was rumored for weeks that Chicago would be the move for AEW, but when the return of CM Punk became uncertain, reports pivoted to the potential of Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida, being the selection. Well, we now know for certain that the first episode will be filmed at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois on June 17. Tony Khan appeared on the 5/24 episode of Dynamite and dropped the news for the viewers.

Any word about which matches will take place, or if there will be any big returns, was kept secret for now.

Is CM Punk Coming Back To AEW?

It was never revealed whether or not punk would be featured on the episode; however, the audience in Las Vegas popped loudly when the news about the location was revealed. The latest reports by outlets like Fightful and Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer have stated that Punk is indeed coming back, and he will make his return at the Collision premiere.

Following Chicago, AEW heads to Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on Saturday, June 24, followed by FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada on Thursday, June 29. They’ll travel to Brandt Centre in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, for the July 8 episode and then remain in Canada on July 15 for Collision at Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Lastly, it was announced that Collision will be live at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on Saturday, July 22.
