Tony Khan Addresses Possibility Of Getting In The Ring

Tony Khan cuts a promo in the ring

Tony Khan has opened up on the possibility of competing in the ring.

Since All Elite Wrestling was launched in 2019, Khan has largely stayed away from becoming a regular feature of TV and refrained from getting physical in the ring like many other promoters have in the past.

However, that all changed on the April 24th edition of Dynamite when Jack Perry and The elite launched a brutal attack on the AEW President. The assault saw Perry appear to make amends with Khan before hitting him with a microphone. The Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada then came to the ring, but instead of aiding their boss, the group continued the assault, finishing things with a TK Driver.

With that segment in mind, amNY Metro recently asked Khan if he would ever consider wrestling in the promotion. After noting that on that occasion he didn’t get into the ring “voluntarily,” Khan said he would rather avoid similar altercations in future.

“I didn’t step into the ring voluntarily. I would hope to avoid such physical altercations in the future.”

Tony Khan Claims Future Of AEW Is Bright

With reports running rampant that a lucrative new media rights deal will be announced imminently, Tony Khan believes the future of AEW looks “so bright” he needs sunglasses. While he wouldn’t confirm the rumours, Khan could say with “100% certainty” that the company will be on TBS and TNT for a long time to come.
