AEW might have gone through something of an injury crisis recently and now Toni Storm is on the mend after apparently undergoing dental surgery.
Toni Storm was set to go one-on-one with her ‘ThunderStom’ partner Thunder Rosa for the AEW Women’s World Championship at All Out. However, Thunder Rosa broke the news on Dynamite that she is currently battling injury and is unable to defend her title in Chicago.
Instead, Toni Storm will go head-to-head with three other challengers to become the Interim AEW Women’s World Champion as she faces Jamie Hayter, Hikaru Shida, and Dr. Britt Baker DMD.
Storm took to social media to reveal that she had undergone successful surgery with a photo of her showing bandages wrapped around her face. It is not expected that she will miss any time from the ring.
AEW’s resident dentist Dr. Britt Baker couldn’t resist taking a shot at her upcoming opponent, saying:
“Toni should probably stay home and rest, but I know a great dentist if any post-op problems arise”

Toni Storm last competed on the 17th of August edition of Dynamite when she defeated KiLynn King. Storm previously challenged for the AEW Women’s World Championship at Forbidden Door, losing to Thunder Rosa on that occasion.
