Toni Storm Returns On AEW Dynamite Winter Is Coming But With A Twist

Toni Storm Number 1 In PWI Women's 250; Top 10 Also Announced

Toni Storm is back in All Elite Wrestling but with a twist.

On the December 11th episode of Dynamite ‘Winter is Coming’, Mariah May defeated Mina Shirakawa in the main event of the show to retain her Women’s Championship. After an extremely hard-fought battle, May managed to keep Shirakawa down for the three-count.

Cutting her celebration short, the former champion Storm made her way back to the promotion. Last seen during her match against May at All In, Storm went on a hiatus from the Jacksonville-based promotion but was actively wrestling on the Japanese and Mexican wrestling circuit.

Back after almost four months, Storm is now here to take over some unfinished business. As Storm stood near the stage, May looked on, flabbergasted. Leaving her rivalry mid-way against May, fans can expect more bloodshed from the two former allies before Worlds End.

However, the return has come with a massive twist. Seemingly done with her ‘Timeless’ gimmick, Storm returned with her former gimmick and old look, sporting her iconic aviators. Fans must stay hooked on the show to get more updates on her return.

Recently the spoilers for the December 25th AEW Dynamite were revealed.

Did Toni Storm Retire Before Her Recent Return?

After her last wrestling match in October, Toni Storm delivered an emotional announcement during her discussion with SB Nation. In the interview, Storm called herself a loser before announcing her retirement.

I’m not used to being a loser. I’ve failed at everything. I lost in AEW, I lost in Japan, I lost in Mexico. This is the last you’ll hear from me again. Enjoy Mariah May as your champion. You can all enjoy that.”

However, her latest return suggests it was ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm retiring, and not her original character.

In other news: MJF’s opponent for the Worlds End PPV has been confirmed.

Although Toni Storm has returned, not everyone in AEW is happy about what happened next.
