Toni Storm has revealed scrapped WWE plans that would seen her involved in a ‘love triangle’ storyline, with a former WWE Champion.
Speaking with Chris Jericho on the Talk Is Jericho’ podcast, Storm discussed her time with WWE and some of the plans that were made for her, including a love triangle with Rick Boogs and former WWE Champion, Dolph Ziggler.
“There seemed to be a plan. They put me in a debut match that seemed to go well, and it seemed like something was gonna happen and then nothing really did. And then there was bits and pieces here and there, like, Oh, you’re in love with Rick Boogs and the love triangle with Dolph Ziggler. Then it never really went anywhere, and just bits and pieces here and there.
The details surrounding the proposed love triangle were not mentioned, nor when the storyline was due to take place.
Ric Boogs is currently out of action after suffering a torn quadricep at WrestleMania 38, while Dolph Ziggler hasn’t wrestled since April 4th when he lost the NXT Title to Bron Breakker.
Toni Storm, who has been less than favourable in recent interviews when discussing her time in WWE, made a point that she didn’t want to ‘bury’ the company, insisting that working there was a beneficial experience.
“And I obviously don’t want to bury the place at all. I don’t want to say anything bad. To be honest, I’m really grateful for the whole thing to be honest, you know what, like, I hate all that ended badly as all doom and gloom, whatever. But I still had the best time. And I got to learn a lot from a lot of people. And I’m really grateful for all of it. I don’t want anyone to think that I’m like I hate WWE.”
Toni Storm appeared on the June 8th of AEW Dynamite, coming to the aid of Thunder Rosa where a future match between Storm and the AEW Women’s Champion was teased.
