It has been announced that Toni Storm will be back in action on the September 28th episode of Dynamite with her Interim AEW Women’s World Title on the line.
Fresh off her victory over Britt Baker, Serena Deeb and Athena, Toni Storm at Dynamite Grand Slam will once again be putting the gold on the line on Dynamite. This time the former WWE star will be taking on Serena Deeb in singles action.
The bout was announced on social media by Tony Khan. The AEW President stated that the match was made after The Professor defeated Storm in tag team action on Dynamite two weeks ago.
Toni Storm became Interim AEW Women’s Champion after defeating Britt Baker, Hikaru Shida and Jamie Hayter at All Out. Storm had been set to challenge Thunder Rosa for the Women’s Title at the event, but the champion pulled out due to injury. At time of writing it is unclear when Rosa will be returning to action.
The match will be joined on Dynamite by a segment featuring new signing Saraya, who debuted in the aftermath of the bout at Arthur Ashe Stadium.
Elsewhere, Jon Moxley will square off against Juice Robinson in a World Title eliminator, while Chris Jericho defends his newly won ROH World Title against Bandido.
