Toni Storm is headed to SmackDown after a new vignette teasing her impending arrival played on the latest edition of the blue brand!
Following the SmackDown debut of Storm’s fellow NXT stars Shotzi Blackheart and Tegan Nox (now simply known as Shotzi and Nox), a vignette played showing highlights from the career of Toni Storm so far across NXT and NXT UK. The video ended by announcing that the former NXT UK Women’s Champion is coming soon to the blue brand, though it’s currently unknown when exactly she’ll debut.
Storm had taken part in several dark matches before SmackDown over the last few weeks, facing off against Blackheart and Nox in said matches. An NXT call-up was teased a few hours before the show by WrestleVotes, though no hints towards the identity of the debuting wrestler or what they’d be doing on the show were provided.

Toni Storm made her WWE debut in the first Mae Young Classic tournament in 2017, reaching the semi-finals before falling to eventual winner Kairi Sane. The New Zealand-native ended up signing with the company a year later and went on to win the second Mae Young Classic, defeating Io Shirai at WWE Evolution for the honour.
Storm’s momentum continued into 2019, capturing the NXT UK Women’s Championship from Rhea Ripley at NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool and holding the belt until August of that year before debuting in NXT this past October. There, the 25-year-old unsuccessfully challenged for the NXT Women’s Championship on multiple occasions and had most recently been feuding with Zoey Stark.
