WWE have announced that Tommaso Ciampa will battle Kushida and The Velveteen Dream in a Triple Threat Match this week on NXT.
The bout which will form a part of the black and gold brand’s final hype for NXT Halloween Havoc next week was formed at NXT TakeOver 31 on October 4 when Kushida defeated The Velveteen Dream.
Following the bout, Kushida snapped following weeks of sneak attacks and attempted career sabotage and attacked the already injured arm of Velveteen Dream.
Seemingly finished with the former NXT North American Champion, Kushida turned his attention to his next muse, Tommaso Ciampa, when the pair had a backstage disagreement and had to be pulled apart.
On the October 7 edition of NXT, Ciampa and Kushida did battle in a match worthy of any TakeOver event but all did not go to plan for the Japanese marvel when his past came back to haunt him.
With victory in his grasp and Ciampa synched into his Hoverboard Lock, Kushida was blindsided by a returning Velveteen Dream who attacked from above and inadvertently connected with Ciampa, handing the ‘The Psycho Killer’ the disqualification victory.
Now, the trio will settle their differences once and for all and for the winner, a future shot at the NXT Championship will not be far behind.
Also on the NXT Halloween Havoc go-home show, The Undisputed Era will finally challenge Breezango for the NXT Tag Team Championships after defeating Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan last week.
Inside the Ropes will have all the live coverage of NXT tomorrow night.
