We have a brand new TNA Wrestling president.
Last year in February 2024, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling fired Scott D’Amore, before they hired Anthony Cicione. However, as per a recent report from PWInsider, it was noted that Cicione has exited his role as the TNA president but remains with Anthem’s Entertainment Group.
It was also earlier reported by Fightful Select that the promotion has now parted ways with Josh Matthews and Christy Hemme. Mathews had been with the company for over 10 years, working as a Senior Producer and the Senior Director of Digital Media. Regarding the recent restructuring in the company, the promotion now has several new personnel.
George Veras has assumed the role of Executive Producer within the Anthem Sports Group Leadership team. Whereas Andrea Pagnanelli has been appointed SVP of marketing. TNA Wrestling now also has a brand new president.
TNA has now issued a statement to Jon Alba, revealing their brand-new president. Carlos Silva has been announced as the promotion’s new president.
“The new TNA Wrestling President is Carlos Silva.
George Veras is the new Executive Producer of the Anthem Sports Group. George is the 10-time Emmy Award-winning president and Chief Executive Officer of Pro Football Hall of Fame Enterprises, as well as president of Veras Communications, Incorporated.
Josh Mathews and Christy Hemme are no longer with the Company. We appreciate their commitment to TNA throughout the years, and wish them well in their future endeavors.”
In another update by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, it was noted that Mark Brown, who served as a director in ROH, will now be a director in Total Nonstop Action wrestling.
Before his recent promotion as the wrestling company’s president, Silva worked as Anthem Sports’ President from December 2024 as per his LinkedIn profile. With the new leadership team in place, fans wonder what it means for the pro wrestling talent and the ongoing storylines.
