TNA Champion Among Surprise Appearances On WWE NXT

The ongoing talent exchange between WWE NXT and TNA is set to continue.

Throughout 2024, many stars from the TNA roster made their presence felt on NXT including Jordynne Grace, Joe Hendry and Zachary Wentz. The latest appearance took place on the January 14th broadcast of NXT as Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich was shown in the crowd shortly before the match between Kelani Jordan and Cora Jade took place. Jade stared down Slamovich as she made her entrance. The social media post of the appearance also noted that Slamovich is “keeping a close eye on the NXT Women’s Division”, implying that there are more appearances to come.

Slamovich defeated Jordynne Grace to win the Knockouts Championship for the first time in her career. Her next defence will take place at the Genesis pay-per-view against Rosemary in a Clockwork Orange House of Fun match.

More Big Returns On WWE NXT

Slamovich was not the only surprise on the January 14th edition of NXT. With Nathan Frazer and Axiom putting their Tag Team Championships on the line against OTM, WWE Tag Team Champions and former NXT Champions Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa were seen in the crowd watching the match.

In the main event of the show, former NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez spoke about losing the title to Giulia the previous week. First putting over the best women’s division in wrestling, Perez congratulated Giulia for her reign as champion before doubting that the new champion would replicate her accomplishments.

After referencing The Four Horsewomen, Perez was interrupted by Bayley, who received a great response from the NXT crowd. First stating that she was excited to be back, Bayley attempted to give Perez advice on dealing with a title loss, which the former champion rejected.

The segment ended with Perez and Bayley brawling after Perez struck the SmackDown star.

Additionally, an absent WWE star was backstage at NXT.
