TKO President Mark Shapiro has once again reiterated that the company has no involvement with Vince McMahon.
The disgraced former Executive Chairman resigned from all TKO Holdings positions in late January. The reason for Vince McMahon’s resignation was due to alleged sexual assault and sex trafficking by former WWE employee Janel Grant.
While the investigation remains ongoing at the time of writing and TKO removing as much of McMahon’s existence as possible, the message was clear that McMahon was not to be referenced any more and would not be returning. However, Vince McMahon hit the headlines once more on March 4th when an SEC filing noted that he was selling a significant amount of stock that was valued at more than $400 million.
With a large amount of shares being sold, some had speculated if this was part of a wider company activity. When asked about the recent transaction at a Morgan Stanley conference, Shapiro responded that there is no contact with McMahon and he is not coming back:
“We’re not in conversations with him. We don’t know his motives, his plans or his timeline. He doesn’t work for the company, doesn’t come into the office and he’s not coming back to the company. And that’s where we sit.”
