TJPW Stand Proud 2021: Miyu Yamashita Hands Sakisama First Singles Defeat

Miyu Yamashita kicks Sakisama

The Princess of Princess Champion Miyu Yamashita was able to hand Sakisama her first singles pinfall loss in Tokyo Joshi Pro at their Stand Proud 2021 event. Yamashita was able to pick up the victory following a Crash Rabbit Heat.

The pair had collided recently in a pair of tag team matches, in which Sakisama’s team of NEO Biishiki-gun with Mei Saint-Michel had been victorious both times over Yamashita’s team with Maki Itoh known as 121000000 (or 1 to 1 Million.)

Both competitors were supported at ringside by their respective tag team partners for the match, and Itoh celebrated in the ring with her partner following her big win.

Yamashita claimed the Princess of Princess title for the third time back in May at Yes! Wonderland 2021 and this marked her second successful defence after defeating long-time rival Yuka Sakazaki at CyberFight Festival 2021 as part of the shows triple main event.

Prior to this match, the only blemish on Sakisama’s record had been a defeat by DQ to Hyper Misao.

Post-match Yamashita suggested that she would like to compete in the forthcoming Tokyo Princess Cup.

Elsewhere on the show Moka Miyamoto picked up her first win, a submission victory over Yuki Arai with her new hold the Rashomon.
The next challenger for the Hikari Noa’s International Princess Championship was also declared following Raku pinning the reigning champ. Post-match Raku issued the challenge and the match has been accepted and is scheduled to take place when TJPW returns to the same venue on 10/7/21 for Don’t Miss The Signs.
