One of IMPACT Wrestling’s top titles changed hands at the recent Lone Star Stampede tapings in Dallas, Texas.
IMPACT Wrestling held their Lone Star Stampede tapings over two nights on August 26th and 27th at The Factory in Dallas, Texas.
The two shows saw multiple title matches with the X Division Championship, Digital Media Championship, and Tag Team Championships all on the line.
In the latter match, which took place on the first night, The Good Brothers, Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson, put their tag titles against the OGK, Matt Taven and Mike Bennet. Despite Bennett’s wife, Maria Kanellis, being banned from ringside, the OGK were able to overcome the Bullet Club duo and capture tag team gold for the first time.
On the following night, Gallows and Anderson were defeated once again, this time by the Motor City Machine Guns.
According to PWInsider, the two matches were the last scheduled for The Good Brothers under their current contract. Going forward, the pair are said to want to focus on NJPW, where they were recently welcomed back into Bullet Club by Jay White.
In NJPW, Karl Anderson is also the current reigning NEVER Openweight Champion, having defeated former Bullet Club member Tama Tonga for the title on June 12th at Dominion.
