Timothy Thatcher returned to Pro Wrestling NOAH for the first time since being released from WWE!

Former NXT star Timothy Thatcher made his surprise debut in Pro Wrestling NOAH on June 7th, teaming with Suzuki-gun members Takashi Sugiura, Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., Rene Duprée, and fellow released NXT star Hideki Suzuki to take on Michael Elgin, Kaito Kiyomiya, Masa Kitamiya, Yoshiki Inamura, and Go Shiozaki in ten man tag team action. In the end, Thatcher picked up the victory for his team when he was able to catch Inamura in a Fujuwara armbar.

Timothy Thatcher last competed in NXT on the August 24th, 2021 episode, where he lost to Ridge Holland. After a brutal attack following the match, Thatcher was written off television and served primarily in a backstage role until his release from the company on January 5th, 2022 alongside notable backstage names such as Road Dogg and former NXT General Manager William Regal. He has made a number of independent appearances following his release.

Also included in the January 5th set of releases was Thatcher’s Suzuki-gun teammate Hideki Suzuki, who was originally set to be part of the Diamond Mine faction before plans changed. Other original Diamond Mine members included Tyler Rust, Arturo Ruas, Marina Shafir, Roderick Strong, and manager Malcolm Bivens. Of these original members, only Roderick Strong remains with the company.
