WWE SummerSlam 2023 Roman Reigns (c) vs. Jey Uso - Undisputed Universal Championship

Ticket sales for WWE SummerSlam have kicked into a new gear in recent days.

The WWE event which is due to take place at Ford Field in Detroit on August 5th has sold over 45,000 tickets according to a report from Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio. The veteran journalist added there’s a strong chance the event pulls in more than 50,000 people in total.

“The tickets have really started to pick up since Friday, which really kind of tells you, as far as Roman Reigns and Jey Uso making it official and all that. So they are at, they have topped 45,000, and they are moving pretty good. We are a couple of weeks away, I think they will get to 50 [thousand], maybe even more. They are super hot, and the Roman Reigns Jey Uso angle is exceedingly strong.”
