AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa has revealed which WWE star helped her overcome her fear of heights early in her career.
Thunder Rosa is currently riding high as the AEW Women’s World Champion having defeated Britt Baker for the title back in March on the St Patrick’s Day Slam edition of Dynamite.
The star has shown herself to be fearless in the ring, using a hard-hitting, aggressive style that has led to numerous bloody battles as well as having no issues using high-flying moves when a match calls for it.
However, that was not always the case, speaking to Adrian Hernandez on KXST 1140 The Bet Las Vegas, Thunder Rosa has revealed that early in her career she had to overcome a fear of heights.
During her time in STARDOM in Japan in 2015, Rosa was trained by current WWE Superstar IYO SKY and it was her who forced her to get out of her comfort zone.
“I’m not afraid of anybody or anything. IYO SKY, or Io Shirai, who was one of my trainers, that’s one of them. She was like, one of the main women that made me not be afraid of heights. Made me not be afraid of jumping off the top rope. She forces us to get out of our comfort zone.”
