It has been announced that Thunder Rosa will defend her AEW Women’s World Championship at AEW Battle of the Belts II.
On the the special St Patrick’s Day Slam edition of AEW Dynamite, Thunder Rosa defeated Britt Baker in a brutal Cage Match to become the AEW Women’s World Champion.
The week after her historic victory, the new champion was due to address the fans and thank them for their support, but before she could get going, she was attacked by Nyla Rose. Since then the animosity between the two women has showed no sign of abating, and it has now been confirmed that they will meet in the ring.
On the April 6th episode of Dynamite, it was announced that the pair will meet at Battle of the Belts II in Dallas, Texas.
The match represents an opportunity for Nyla Rose to regain the AEW Women’s World Championship that she lost back in May 2020.
