Thunder Rosa Claims WWE Didn’t Give Ember Moon “The Platform That They Deserved”

Ember Moon

Former NWA Women’s Worlds Champion and AEW star Thunder Rosa claims former WWE star Ember Moon didn’t get the platform in the company that her talent deserved.

Rosa has been a part of AEW since making her debut for the company in September 2020 while still NWA Women’s Worlds Champion. Since then, the Mexican star has made a name for herself with her highest-profile outing coming in an Unsanctioned Lights Out Match against Dr. Britt Baker back in March 2021.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Thunder Rosa was asked about the ongoing mass releases occurring in WWE. Rosa discussed one recently released star that she thinks she could steal the show with:

“Ember Moon, I have not had the opportunity to work with her. She’s like one of the Dallas veterans. I mean Texas veterans, and she worked for so long in NXT and I don’t think they gave her the platform that she deserved. She’s so good. She’s so underrated. So hopefully I get the opportunity to work with her. It would be a banger. She’s really good.”

Ember Moon was a part of the NXT brand when she joined WWE in 2015, going on to become NXT Women’s Champion in November 2017. Moon held that title for 5 months before dropping the gold to Shayna Baszler and then debuting on the main roster.

Ember Moon’s time on the main roster was plagued with injury and in October 2020 she returned to NXT. During that time Moon captured the NXT Women’s Tag Team Title along with Shotzi Blackheart and she was last seen on the 5th of October 2021 edition of NXT 2.0 losing to Mandy Rose.

Moon was then part of another mass release from the company on the 4th of November, bringing her six-year run with WWE to an end.
