Thunder Rosa Calls For Recently Released WWE Star To Join AEW

In the wake of WWE’s latest round of talent releases, speculation is swirling over the next steps for several high-profile names, and Thunder Rosa already knows who she’d welcome to the AEW roster.

Appearing on Busted Open Radio following the announcement of WWE’s talent cuts, Rosa made it clear she would love to see former NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler make the jump to All Elite Wrestling.

Among the released stars were Braun Strowman, Dakota Kai, and Baszler, all of whom had long tenures in WWE. But for Rosa, Baszler stands out as an ideal candidate for AEW.

“Shayna Baszler. I love Shayna. I’ve always loved her,” Rosa said. “And I think she’s solid on everything she does. She’s really good at cutting promos, she has a lot of experience on TV. I think that she’ll be great.”

The former AEW Women’s World Champion not only praised Baszler’s overall talent but also offered a vision for how she could be used creatively within Tony Khan’s promotion.

“I think we need more women in those men’s stables. I think it adds more to things… I think Shayna would add a lot to that mix,” Rosa added.

Baszler, known for her MMA background and dominant runs in both NXT and WWE’s main roster, has long been viewed as one of the most legitimate in-ring competitors in women’s wrestling.

Currently, there has been no confirmation on Baszler’s next move following her release.

What Did Thunder Rosa Say About The Infamous Segment She Was Involved In On The February 19 Episode Of Dynamite?

Thunder Rosa responded to the segment on the February 19 episode of Dynamite that saw her make the save for Kris Statlander after Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford attacked her following a match. However, the save saw Rosa come to the ring with a chair, but the segment seemed to derail from there as Ford and Bayne seemed to simply stand and stare at Rosa as she held them off with the chair and after an awkward tug of war with the chair, Rosa backed down leaving many feeling like the company had made her look foolish.

In the aftermath of the segment, Rosa responded to critics and fans, stating that there are no issues between the four women following the botched moment, and that they are all talking to each other and receiving feedback from management.
