Thunder Rosa clapped back at a fellow AEW star.
At Worlds End on December 28th, Mariah May will face Thunder Rosa for the AEW Women’s Championship. May hasn’t been shy about taking jabs at Rosa in the leadup to their match, and on the December 18th episode of Dynamite, she asked if Rosa would bring her father to the match to see if failure runs in their family.
Speaking on a recent episode of Busted Open Radio, Rosa clapped back at the current champion, taking her to task for making comments about her father as he deals with a health issue.
“Our family’s going through a lot, especially with my father — my father was just diagnosed with a serious disease. She’s a skank, a full-on skank — like you don’t talk about my — you got no right to talk about my dad!”
Thunder Rosa Claims Mariah May Took Shortcuts To Achieve Success
Continuing, Rosa blasted May for taking shortcuts in her career, claiming that La Mera Mera has gone through a lot more in her professional wrestling journey.
“Like, to call me a failure? Like, b***h I’ve been there more, longer, than you have been! I’ve [withstood] a lot more bulls**t than she has! She like, you know, had shortcuts in this place to be where she’s at!”
May has been champion since defeating Toni Storm for the title at All In. She’s successfully defended her championship on multiple occasions, defeating opponents such as Nyla Rose, Willow Nightingale, and Mina Shirakawa.
