Three More AEW Stars Could Soon Join WWE

WWE CCO Triple H on RAW, AEW President Tony Khan speaks to media

The so-called WWE vs. AEW wrestling war has kept fans intrigued for the past few years, despite some close to the promotions denying there is any kind of battle. The most interesting aspect of the WWE vs. AEW matter these days seems to be related to talent acquisitions and releases. New reports have provided inside updates on rumored signings by Triple H and his team.

Danhausen developed a massive following on the indies, then debuted for All Elite Wrestling in January 2022. Fans, and the man himself, have expressed frustration over his AEW-ROH status amid rumors on a potential departure. The 34-year-old last worked in the AEW ring in December 2023, but he did have two ROH appearances in 2024. Amid speculation on Danhausen’s future, it was reported that his deal expires this month, July 2025.

Very Nice, Very Evil has “major interest” from within WWE, according to a new report from Bodyslam.net. It was noted that there could be “movement” on Danhausen’s future sooner than later, especially with how WWE currently has a strong appetite for what was described as fresh-but-TV-ready talents.

WWE Officials Want To Sign Private Party

World Wrestling Entertainment’s tag team division is currently led by NXT Tag Team Champions Hank Walker and Tank Ledger, RAW’s World Tag Team Champions Finn Balor and JD McDonagh, and SmackDown’s WWE Tag Team Champions Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins, The Street Profits. There’s now increased talk of Private Party joining the ranks.

Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy have been the subject of rumors and speculation as of late, with talk on their AEW deals expiring, and potential gigs with WWE. The report from Bodyslam notes that WWE officials also have “major interest” in the former GCW Tag Team Champions, and like Danhausen, there could be movement on a potential contract sooner than later, largely for the same reason. It’s believed Quen and Kassidy will see their AEW contracts expire imminently, and there’s been no talk of an extension.

Private Party are AEW Originals. The NYC natives won several indie championships before signing with Tony Khan in 2019. Facing the threat of being disbanded if they lost, Private Party finally captured the AEW World Tag Team Championship last October by dethroning The Young Bucks, but the reign ended 84 days later at the hands of The Hurt Syndicate.

Private Party have not wrestled for AEW since dropping the World Tag Team Championship to Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin in the Dynamite opener on January 22. They returned to the ring on March 15 at House of Glory’s City Of Dreamz event, where they defeated Jodi Aura and Daron Richardson.
