According to WrestleVotes, three huge matches are being considered for WrestleMania, with Brock Lesnar seemingly set to return and Golderg set to take on Roman Reigns.
WrestleVotes’ report states the disclaimer that “nothing is close to official or concrete” but goes on to suggest a “working idea” has three major matches set for the card in Roman Reigns vs Goldberg, Edge vs Randy Orton, and a Triple Threat Match between Drew McIntyre, Brock Lesnar, and Keith Lee. A further disclaimer says there are “lots of variables in play, especially the attendance factor.”
WM: Source stressed nothing is close to official or concrete, but as a working idea the following is what’s being considered:
Reigns vs Goldberg, Edge vs Orton & an interesting twist: McIntyre vs Lesnar vs Keith Lee. Lots of variables in play, especially the attendance factor.

The report comes after Goldberg appeared on WWE’s The Bump yesterday and seemed to set up a future match with Universal Champion Roman Reigns, before Roman Reigns responded – saying he chooses “who’s next” and that’s Kevin Owens. That isn’t to say, though, that Goldberg isn’t going to be the next man after that, or after that.
Meanwhile, Edge vs Randy Orton has been suggested ever since Edge suffered an injury at WWE Backlash following their second match, the Greatest Wrestling Match Ever, which followed an encounter at this year’s WrestleMania.
The final match, which would see Keith Lee added to another WrestleMania rematch from this year, would see Brock Lesnar return to the fold, and Drew McIntyre returning to the stage where he won the WWE Championship for the first time.
Of course, WrestleVotes’ report notes variables such as attendance. Here at Inside The Ropes, we previously reported on how WrestleMania is scheduled to take place at the Raymond James Stadium in Florida, as opposed to the currently-scheduled SoFi Stadium in California. This may very well open the door to having some kind of crowd in attendance with the Super Bowl set to emanate from the same venue with 20% capacity in January. WWE, however, still have ‘WrestleMania Hollywood’ listed as next year’s event.
