Shawn Michaels Announces First-Time-Ever Opportunity For Fans Over WWE SummerSlam Weekend

Shawn Michaels has addressed the future of WWE.

The Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative of NXT, Shawn Michaels has been recently widely praised for his work on the Tuesday night show. Michaels effectively maintained the standard of the show after Triple H moved on toward his main-roster duties.

Ahead of NXT’s CW Premiere, Shawn Michaels in an interview with Rick Ucchino of Sports Illustrated, shared his excitement for the future of WWE’s women’s division. With several big names on the roster, Michaels believed the current rising stars in NXT would make a great addition to the main roster.

Right now, whether it be Raw or SmackDown, there are some of the most talented women in all the world. You talk about Bayley, Charlotte Flair, IYO SKY and numerous others. And then you think about the possibility of adding a Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer, Jaida Parker, or a Roxanne Perez to that list. Absolutely unbelievable for the future of the WWE as a whole. We’re very excited about the work that we’re doing.”

Giulia recently made her debut at NXT No Mercy and Stephanie Vaquer teased her appearance during the latest episode of NXT. While, Bayley, Charlotte Flair, and Iyo Sky have made their names on the roster, the former World Champion believes the future of the promotion will be in safe hands with the current NXT stars.

WWE NXT’s New Rating On The CW Network Revealed

Ahead of its debut on the CW Network, Tuesday night’s NXT’s ratings are suggested to be TV-14. When searched using the CW app and YouTube, NXT shows up listed as TV-14. However, the show was previously rated TV-PG rating since 2008.

Despite the majority of shows on the CW Network being TV-14, NXT is now expected to be TV-14, although the reason behind the expected ratings is not yet out.
