“This Guy’s Fantastic” – Bryan Danielson Heaps Praise On Divisive AEW Star

Bryan Danielson

Bryan Danielson was skeptical when it came to the allure of one AEW star, but like many his perspective changed.

Despite fracturing his arm Sunday night, Danielson had a memorable match against Kazuchika Okada, but another talent on the AEW roster to also do the same is Orange Cassidy. The International Champion successfully defended his gold when he defeated Katsuyori Shibata, Zack Sabre Jr. and Daniel Garcia in a fatal four-way match. In the post-Forbidden Door media scrum, Danielson took a moment to give some high praise to the “Freshly Squeezed” fighter.

“Orange Cassidy with the International Championship is just having this incredible run where week after week after week he has just these amazing matches and I was one of the doubters of Orange Cassidy when AEW first started. I was like, ‘Oh, I’m not sure if I like this guy.’ And then I watched him and I watched him and I watched him and I was like, ‘This guy’s fantastic!’”

Bryan Danielson Sees Stars On The AEW Roster

Orange Cassidy isn’t the first AEW competitor that Danielson heaped praise on during the post-PPV media scrums. After Double Or Nothing in Las Vegas, Bryan brought up the growth of Wheel Yuta and talked about training with him before their “Anarchy In The Arena” bout.

To Danielson’s point, Cassidy has been polarizing amongst wrestling fans and luminaries. However, Cassidy has taken any criticism all in stride and noted that Shibata actually requested to work with him, a singles match that went down on an episode of “AEW Rampage.”
