The Rock took a shot at passionate fans of Cody Rhodes.
When Cody Rhodes won the men’s Royal Rumble match, he pointed straight to Roman Reigns and said he was coming for The Tribal Chief, a clear indication that he intended to finish his story with Reigns on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
However, on the February 2nd episode of SmackDown, Rhodes declared to Reigns that he would not be coming for him at WrestleMania after all and introduced a faceoff between Reigns and The Rock.
Rhodes reportedly warned WWE that the SmackDown segment would get a negative reaction, and sure enough, chants of “Rocky sucks” could be heart at both NXT Vengeance Day and Monday Night Raw.
Speaking about fan backlash during a recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Rock took aim at fans who insist Rhodes must finish his story at WrestleMania, joking that they’d rather complain about Cody than spend time with their children or partners.
“There’s the other passionnate fans of Cody. And they’re called the, what’s that? Oh, ‘Cody crybabies,’ yeah. It was a Cody crybaby. These are grown ass men, and ‘Cody gotta finish his story! His story right now!’
“It’s like, wait a second hold on. ‘Hey dad, you want to go outside and play catch with me?’ ‘Not now, Cody’s gotta… and I’m upset!’ The wife comes in, ‘Hey honey, do you want to go have sex? ‘Not now, Cody’s gotta finish his story!'”
In recent news, The Rock addressed the death threats that his daughter Ava received.
The Rock Makes A Distinction Between “Cody Crybabies” And Cody Rhodes Himself
According to The Great One, not all Cody Rhodes fans are in the crybaby camp, and Rhodes himself is separate from his criticisms.
“At the end of the day, look, you got the Cody crybabies, and you have the Cody fans, and then you have Cody himself, and there’s a clear distinction between the three.
“But the Rock says this, those Cody crybabies the ones for every 10 tweets they’re shoving a Chicken McNugget in their mouth. Every 20 tweets they’re shoving two McNuggets up their ass, Rock says this, all you got to do is sit back, know your role, shut your mouth, and enjoy the ride that The Rock is gonna take your candy a**es on.

The Rock’s daughter and NXT GM Ava recently revealed that she’s received death threats from some of these so-called Cody crybabies and has since deleted her Twitter account.
