Legendary wrestling manager Jim Cornette didn’t hold back when questioning why Bray Wyatt suddenly disappeared ahead of WrestleMania 39.
Ahead of the Elimination Chamber premium live event, Bray Wyatt laid out a WrestleMania challenge to the winner of the bout between Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar. When Lesnar was caught in the Hurt Lock during the match, he delivered a low blow to Lashley, earning himself a disqualification as the referee declared Lashley the winner.
In the weeks that followed, Lashley and Wyatt began to build a program for their planned WrestleMania bout, but plans came crashing to a halt when Wyatt was pulled from both live events and television appearances amidst reports that he was dealing with an unknown “physical issue” that was later clarified to be an illness.
On the March 27th episode of Raw, Bobby Lashley came face to face with participants of the upcoming Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, making it clear that he will be entering that bout on SmackDown. A recent report indicated that WWE want to get Lashley on the WrestleMania card in some fashion, and he could be set for a bout with LA Knight if Wyatt doesn’t return.
Jim Cornette Thinks Something Must Be Wrong With Bray Wyatt
Speaking on the latest episode of the Jim Cornette Experience, Cornette took Wyatt to task, wondering what was wrong with him to cause such a sudden absence ahead of the biggest show of the year.
“There’s gotta be something wrong with this f**king guy. Somehow, he was advertised for WrestleMania and all this other stuff, and suddenly, he’s gone. So there’s something wrong either creatively or physically or maybe mentally. Maybe he thinks that he’s god**mn such a major star that if they don’t wanna do all this convoluted dribble that nobody understands, he’ll just no show and they won’t do anything to him.”
