A rising star in WWE has once again put it out into the world that they want to be the one responsible for having John Cena’s final match.
As the wrestling world prepares for the 2025 John Cena retirement tour, many stars have gone on record to say that they want to be a part of the celebrations in some form or fashion. While many remain hopeful that they could be in one of Cena’s final matches, the ultimate goal would be to be in the final match of Cena’s career. While the final opponent won’t be known for quite some time, Bron Breakker has called out Cena in another interview.
Speaking with The Daily Star, the Intercontinental Champion was asked for his dream match at WrestleMania 2025, to which Breakker responded that it would be the opportunity to cut Cena’s career short:
“I think the only fitting match that comes to mind for me is to retire John Cena, because I mean he’s going on a farewell tour from what I know. I don’t know how long he’s going to be around and stuff, or what his schedule is, but if he wants to come back and have the best possible match with the most elite talent that there is to work with that he hasn’t worked with yet that’s me. There is no one else.
So if he wants to get in there and mix it up with the best of the best of the next generation, that’s going to … next five, ten years … going to step up and be leaders for this locker room, it’s me.”
It should be noted that Breakker’s former tag team partner Baron Corbin is also familiar with retiring legends as he was the one who defeated Kurt Angle in the Hall of Famer’s final match in 2019.
Bron Breakker Calls Out John Cena Once Again
While Cena has achieved just about every accolade there is to achieve during his 22-year run, he has never held the Intercontinental Championship, which Breakker currently holds. Continuing to challenge John Cena, Breakker previously stated that the Hollywood star should “grow some balls” and fight him.
