The Young Bucks Tipped To Join WWE For A WrestleMania Moment Like Cody Rhodes

AEW stars The Young Bucks tipped to join WWE

The Young Bucks were encouraged to join WWE to have a similar WrestleMania moment like Cody Rhodes.

In 2022, Cody Rhodes returned to WWE during that year’s WrestleMania, quickly becoming the fan-favorite and the biggest babyface since then. By the time he returned, he was already a bigger star after wrestling in various promotions and by helping start AEW with The Young Bucks, who are also no strangers to the Stamford-based promotion.

The Young Bucks have been rumored to join WWE multiple times in the past, especially before they became AEW’s EVPs. In 2011, they had a tryout with the company where they fought The Usos, and reportedly sent “feelers” to the Triple H-led promotion in 2022.

Although these rumors never led to joining the Stamford-based promotion, they found success outside the company and are considered one of the best tag teams in the industry. However, former TNA President Scott D’Amore thinks that Matt and Nick’s success might lead to them joining the company.

Scott D’Amore Says WWE Could Be in Young Bucks’ Future Like Cody Rhodes

Last weekend, The Young Bucks were defeated by Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay, which meant Matt and Nick were no longer AEW’s Executive Vice President in kayfabe.

In a recent D’Amore Drop, the former TNA personality shared that The Young Bucks already did everything needed to do in AEW as wrestlers and real-life executives. As a result, Matt and Nick might decide to join WWE in the future and have their own WrestleMania moment.

It’s no secret WWE wanted the Bucks badly before they helped form AEW — and I can see Matt and Nick, not tomorrow, but at some point — maybe deciding it is time to go have a WrestleMania moment like fellow AEW founder Cody Rhodes did.”

It remains to be seen if The Young Bucks will appear on WWE in the future.
