The Young Bucks Win Tag Team Championships At AEW Dynasty Due To Shock Interference

The Young Bucks are the first-ever 3-time AEW Tag Team Champions.

Competing against FTR in a ladder match at the inaugural Dynasty pay-per-view on April 21st, the Jackson Brothers walked out of St. Louis, Missouri largely due to an assist from a returning star who has been absent for over 6 months.

As Dax Harwood made his way up the ladder to grab the titles, a masked man stormed the ring and pushed Harwood off the ladder. With commentary believing this was a fan at first, security restrained the assailant who was unmasked to be revealed as Jack Perry.

With security dragging Perry out of the arena, Nick Jackson climbed the ladder to unhook the championships and once again become Tag Team Champions. With Kazuchika Okada retaining the Continental Championship earlier in the evening, all 3 members of The Elite are now champions.

On the next episode of Dynamite, Tony Khan was attacked.

The Young Bucks Gain Revenge From All In Loss

At Revolution, Sting won his final match. Reigning as the Tag Team Champion at the time alongside Darby Allin, Tony Khan announced that the titles would be vacated and a tournament would crown new champions. The finals were set as The Bucks vs. FTR in a rematch from All In, which saw Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler victorious inside a packed Wembley Stadium. Heading into the rematch at Dynasty, The Young Bucks claimed that the backstage altercation between CM Punk and Jack Perry at All In distracted them and factored into the loss.

Ahead of the match, footage from the altercation between CM Punk and Jack Perry was played on Dynamite to advance the storyline between the two teams.

In a night of multiple title changes, Swerve Strickland became the new AEW World Champion.

In the press conference after the match, Tony Khan addressed Mercedes Mone clearance to compete in AEW.

In May 2024, Tony Khan discussed expanding AEW even further.
