As per Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, AEW have taken steps to remove The Young Bucks and their scheduled bout from Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite.
On the latest episode of The Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer noted that the new AEW World Tag Team Champions were set to make their first defence of the straps against Top Flight – Air Wolf and Angel Dorado – as announced during the AEW Full Gear Media Scrum. However, the match will no longer go ahead and has been officially removed.
Though Meltzer didn’t give an official reason as to why the bout had pulled – potentially to give his injuries a brief respite – he did note that there was a possibility that it could transpire at a later date.
Matt and Nick Jackson will appear on the broadcast, however, but only in a video package. The content of which is currently unknown.
Recently, Inside the Ropes reported that Matt Jackson was suffering from a partially torn MCL and thinning ACL. However, the star commented that he believes his grievances have been present for over a year.
The Young Bucks defeated FTR to capture the AEW World Tag Team Championships at AEW Full Gear on November 7.
Inside the Ropes will have live coverage of AEW Dynamite on Wednesday, November 11.
