The Young Bucks Announce NJPW Return Date

The Young Bucks are coming back to NJPW.

Appearing via video during the New Japan King of Pro Wrestling show, Matt and Nick Jackson turned to the camera and announced that they would be at Wrestle Dynasty on January 5th 2025.

The upcoming show will be the first of its kind and will take place the night after Wrestle Kingdom 19 and will feature talent from NJPW and AEW along with stars from CMLL, ROH and STARDOM.

At the time of writing, it is unknown who the Tag Team Champions will face at Wrestle Dynasty. However, Kenny Omega did tease that he has unfinished business with his fellow EVPs during a recent meeting with New Japan President Hiroshi Tanahashi.

The Bucks continued their reign as Tag Team Champions at WrestleDream by defeating Private Party on the pay-per-view.

The Young Bucks Return To Japan

The Jacksons had a very successful run in the promotion from 2013 to 2019 with 7 reigns as the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships and 1 reign with the IWGP Tag Team Championships. Their final match in Japan took place in 2019 at Wrestle Kingdom 13 and saw The Bucks unsuccessfully challenge for the Tag Team Titles, which was won by EVIL and SANADA. The match also came just days after AEW was officially announced.

At the New Japan crossover show Forbidden Door earlier in the year, The Bucks teamed with Kazuchika Okada to defeat Tanahashi and The Acclaimed.

In other New Japan news, Kenny Omega’s return has been announced.
