A top WWE Superstar has confided in Randy Orton when in need of some feedback.
One of the best stars on the WWE roster from an in-ring standpoint, many have wanted to see more from Chad Gable during his time with the company, especially during the dark days as Shorty G. At times without direction and greatly underutilised, Gable would look to one of his former rivals who has seen and done it all in the professional wrestling world.
Speaking with TV Insider, the former Tag Team Champion was asked which star he would ask for advice if required. The leader of Alpha Academy responded that although he is not one to trouble many with his problems, Orton has been a wealth of advice to him:
“I would say, Randy Orton. I don’t try to bother people too much with questions, especially when you know the answer to questions you may ask. But there are a few things I’ve struggled with during my time here and Randy has been a guy I ask to get actual thoughts and feedback from. He has been through it all and knows pretty much anything. I’ve always reached out to him. He gives me the answers that resonate and are truthful.”
Orton and Gable feuded over the Tag Team Championships in 2022 when Orton was a part of RK-Bro alongside Matt Riddle while Gable teamed with Otis as part of Alpha Academy.
In one of the best TV matches of 2023, Gable just missed out on dethroning Intercontinental Champion Gunther and bringing the record-setting reign to an end. Hoping to also finish his story at WrestleMania 40, Chad Gable knows his rivalry with Gunther is far from over. In regards to Orton’s involvement at WrestleMania, The Viper is internally listed on a match set to be officially announced.
Randy Orton Sets New Record
Following on from his epic return at Survivor Series, the 14-time World Champion continues to extend his legacy by continuing to compete following a back injury that looked to bring his career to a premature end. Last competing at the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event in Perth, Randy Orton has once again set a new record, surpassing the previous record set by an AEW star.
