Cody Rhodes has named his pick for the true captains of WWE.
After defeating Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 40, The American Nightmare cemented his place as the top champion and the face of the company. Regularly making media appearances and a part of just about every TV taping and live event one way or another, Rhodes has referred to himself as the quarterback of the company. However, despite his accolades, Rhodes sees two SmackDown stars as the true locker room leaders.
While discussing WrestleMania 40 on Jazzy’s World, Rhodes also gave a shout-out to Bayley’s match against Iyo Sky. Continuing his praise of Bayley, Rhodes noted that the former Women’s Champion and Randy Orton are the actual locker room leaders:
“Here’s the thing I think people don’t know about Bayley. She’s probably the actual locker room leader. If you got a captain, the C on the jersey, it’s probably her and Randy Orton. If you need something done, hey we need energy for this show… She’s the locker room leader, and she should be.”
