Could Dominik Mysterio become the top star in WWE?
At just 27 years of age, Mysterio has already found championship success in the promotion with 2 North American Championship and one Tag Team Championship reign to his name in the first 4 years of his career. Additionally, The Judgment Day member has been prominently featured in big storylines and it only seems like a matter of time until Mysterio is given an opportunity at the top championship.
While speaking with Chris Van Vliet, Dominik’s father Rey Mysterio was asked if he could see his son becoming a World Champion in WWE at some point in the future, to which the Hall of Famer responded that it would be inevitable based on the past 4 years:
“Yeah, most definitely. Dom is getting really good at what he’s doing and he’s understanding the craft. The fact that he’s where he’s at with such little time, I wish I could be there, or I could have been there with four years of being in the business. I didn’t know sh*t at 4 years. [Look who he’s learned from] Not only me, I mean that, yes, I am his father. But the fact that he’s been able to be in there with the best Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, John Cena. All these moments are moments that give you the ability to learn. So I think he’s taken very well advantage of those moments and has added them to his career.”

In 2023, both Mysterios collided in a father vs. son match at WrestleMania that saw the veteran emerge as the victor thanks to an assist from Bad Bunny. Speaking in a previous interview, Dominik Mysterio admitted that his celebrations later that night were on the more unconventional side.
